Appointments

All surgeries are by appointment and these can be made in person or by telephone. When booking an appointment our reception staff will need to ask you a few questions so they can direct you to the most appropriate healthcare professional – this may be a GP or Practice Nurse.

Each patient has a right to express preference of GP for booked appointments. It should be noted that it may not be possible to see a preferred GP as they may not hold surgeries every day. Please also note that the practice nurse does not hold surgeries every day.

Emergency Appointments

Should you require an emergency appointment please contact the surgery. Please state immediately if it is an emergency.

These appointments are only for patients with minor injuries and illnesses who will be seen the same day. They are not for repeat prescriptions, on-going appointments or sick notes.

Telephone Advice

During surgery the doctor has set aside time to deal with enquiries over the telephone. We will ask you to leave your contact number and enquiry in order for the doctor to call you back during the surgery hours. A triage system is in place and you may be asked to speak to the Practice Nurse first.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
